Standards for Bakeries

 St. Lucian Bakers are exploring the introduction of a of a certification program to all bakeries on the island. The move towards standardization comes in the wake of a literary of complaints by consumers about the discovery of foreign objects including excrement in the baked goods at local delicatessens. The St. Lucia Bureau of Standards is spearheading the certification project geared at improving the quality of products and services offered by bakeries.
