National dialogue on agriculture
The Saint Lucia Bureau of Standards (SLBS), the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA) and the Ministry of Agriculture hosted a workshop of key stakeholders in the agricultural sector in a discussion of interventions to strengthen services which support improvements in that sector. read more>
Collaboration to improve quality in farming
Minister for Agriculture. Lands, Forestry and Fisheries Honourable Moses “Musa” Jn Baptiste is eager to see collaboration between his Ministry and the Saint Lucia Bureau of Standards deepen. The Minister said the work undertaken by the SLBS to support quality in farming and agro-processing will help focus efforts to improve the fortunes of the sector. read more>
slbs commemorates world metrology day.
The Saint Lucia Bureau of Standards joined the International community to commemorate World Metrology Day on Wednesday 20th May 2015. The global theme was, “Measurements and Light.” The theme recognized the importance of light in everyday life and reflected the United Nations focus on 2015 as the International Year of Light and Light-based technologies. read more>
slbs celebrates 25 years of operation.
2015 marked 25 years of operations of the Saint Lucia Bureau of Standards. The SLBS marked the occasion with a number of activities to include a Standards and Business Development Showcase at the SLBS’ headquarters in Bisee. read more>

The Saint Lucia Bureau of Standards (SLBS) has issued the following draft standards for public comment:
- Labelling of tobacco products
- Tourism and related services – Requirements and recommendations for beach operators
- Cosmetics – Guidelines on good manufacturing practices. read more>
