New Certification Standards Officer

Magdalene N Eugene joined the Saint Lucia Bureau of Standards as a Standards Officer within our Certification Department on September 15, 2014. Ms Eugene hails from the Alumi of Monroe College, located in Barnard Hill, Castries. There she graduated with a Bachelor of Science, cum laude in Public Health. Prior to attaining her BA in Public Health she fostered her love of science at the Leon Hess Secondary School, from there she pursued an Associate Degree in General Agriculture at the Sir Arthur Lewis Community College. With her vase scope of coverage in the science field she is able to work efficiently with the many agro processors who access the Bureau of assistance.

Before joining the ranks of the Bureau of Standards she worked as a Focal Point within the Ministry of Health and then as a Programme Assistant with the Caribbean HIV and AIDS Alliance respectively. Ms. Eugene has also worked with the Department of Fisheries and the Saint Lucia Solid Waste Management Authority. Ms Eugene welcomes this new era in her life as she believes that no matter what sector you are able to apply your skills and experience that the quality for the input given reflects in the quality of the output produced, thus there is no better place to execute this than the Saint Lucia Bureau of Standards.
