The SLBS & CROSQ Convene Meeting of Information Personnel in Standardization
The St. Lucia was the venue for a regional meeting on the implementation of components of public awareness and information communication technology for standardization and conformity assessment under an European Union funded project for the region.
The Saint Bureau of Standards in collaboration with the CARICOM Regional Organization for Standards & Quality (CROSQ), Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB), and the Instituto Dominicano para la Calidad (INDOCAL), hosted the Second Meeting of the Technical Implementation Group – Awareness and Information of the 10th European Development Fund Caribbean Regional Indicative Programme Economic Partnership Agreement Technical Barriers to Trade Component (10TH EDF-CRIP-EPA-TBT).
This meeting brought together representatives from National Standards Bodies of the CARIFORUM countries to discuss actions to be implemented through the 10th EDF-CRIP-EPA-TBT Programme to increase the awareness and public education about the importance of Quality Infrastructure (QI) and the services provided by the National Standards Bodies to facilitate inter-and intra-regional trade and the overall promotion of a Quality Culture.
The meeting was held on July 14 and 15, at the CoCo Resorts in Rodney Bay, St. Lucia.
