The Saint Lucia Bureau of Standards, will award the Standard Mark to Sunsmart Beverages of AMK Inc for its People’s Choice Natural Pure Water. 

 

The Standard Mark is a major component of the Bureau of Standards Product Certification Scheme and is issued to products which meet the requirements of the relevant national standard. The product certification scheme is based on ISO Guide 28 and involves a programme of rigorous inspection, examination, testing by accredited laboratories and continuous follow up evaluation for quality. The presence of the mark on a product therefore means that the Bureau is providing third party verification about the quality of that product.

 

Acting Director of the SLBS Mr. Julius James says the SLBS’ ongoing programme to build quality infrastructure is rewarded with the participation of organization, independently and voluntary in embracing a quality culture in St. Lucia.

People’s Choice Natural Pure Water and Paradise Water are the two bottled water brands displaying the Standards Mark. 

 

A signing ceremony will take place on Wednesday 31st March at the SLBS conference room in Bisee. The ceremony will be addressed by Minister for Commerce Honourable Charlotte Tessa Mangal, Managing Director of Sunsmart Beverages/AMK Inc. Dr. Alison Plummer and Acting Director of the SLBS Mr. Julius James.
